Concrete Illusions
Concrete Illusions
Why would someone live completely cut off from most human contact, in a remote wilderness where there are no mod cons, no big hi-definition screens and no entertainments which are continually available at the touch of a button? There are obvious answers to these questions; indeed, the image above should provide an answer to all or most of them - but sustaining oneself alone in the wilderness isn’t a matter of self-abnegation or denial. It requires a creative impulse and a level of self sufficiency that goes far beyond all lack of need for things material.
Eye live in the ‘real’ world - I’m typing this on a laptop in a rainforest after moving rocks and soil all day by a platypus pool. Eye once lived in the hive where everything you can see is placed by human hands - life in a human thought form literally made concrete - and the real world is neither a storybook nor a computer, which suffer not from drought nor flood.
It’s paradise if you’re not addicted to materialist crap. If you are you end up paving it into a fine desert.
The essence is that all matter is energy, all energy mind, all mind spirit, and all is in all. The material manifestation IS mind stuff, an extension of your consciousness, like your own body and limbs. A good beginning is to view the world from different positions within your body - the chakras are useful plexuses - and to view it from other perspectives as well.
By ‘view’ I mean to really BE there, experiencing everything multi-sensually.

To paraphrase the great Nownzen, if, as we’re told in the 3rd millennium, there are 11 dimensions then we must, like everything else, exist in all of them simultaneously. Most hominids are trained to perceive only four or five.
On a different note; to an alchemist the recently debated and long acknowledged loss of weight of a few ounces on death is due to the sudden lack of pressure in the system - the alcohol, or ’spirit’, evaporates almost immediately from the blood. This is the origin of the idea of spirit as spirit.
